Social services White Paper on agenda at UKHCA Wales conference

The implications for homecare providers of the Welsh Government's White Paper on Sustainable Social Services will be the focus of the UK Home Care Association (UKHCA) conference in Wales this year.

The conference, to be held on September 26 in the Metropole Hotel, Llandrindod Wells, Powys, will also feature workshops and discussions on the practical issues currently facing homecare providers.

Domiciliary care registration, dementia care and the national minimum wage are among the break-out session topics for discussion during the afternoon.

The conference's keynote speaker will be Gwenda Thomas AM, the Welsh Government’s Deputy Minister for Children and Social Services. There will also be speakers and representatives from:

  • local government
  • regulatory bodies
  • advisory groups
  • service user groups

The conference costs £100 +VAT for UKHCA members and £190 +VAT for non-members. To book your place and for more details, please go to:
